The town of Big Horn is 6 miles south of Sheridan, Wyoming, in the foothills of the Big Horn Mountains. Big Horn Elementary is located on the same campus as the middle and high schools, although in a separate building. BHE is one of 3 elementary schools in Sheridan County School District #1, in central northern Wyoming. |

Big Horn Elementary, as well as all schools in Sheridan Co. School District #1, operates on a 4 day week, Monday through Thursday. Hours at BHE are 8 a.m to 3:55 p.m. There are alternative activities available to interested students on many Fridays, through the Friday Activity Program. Big Horn Elementary services Kindergarten through grade 5. There are currently 164 students, and 20 members in the teaching staff. There are approximately 20 to 26 students per grade level. Individual class sizes are small. |
